User experience (UX) is how a person feels when they use a product.  It is the outcome of what happens at the human–computer interface, the culmination of the environment, the product and the person.

This outcome feeds the person’s life experiences and influences their opinions and behavior over time. As a result, people form relationships with organizations through the use of the products that the organization provides.  The VA is no exception.

This guide serves as an evolving collection of resources, which provide systems development teams, clinicians and others with a practical body of work that inform better design practices for Veterans.   Explore each of the practice areas to learn how you can incorporate usability into your next project.
